BLAU is an intimate and unadorned journey into being a mother. The exhibition did not portray the idealized mother as we know and have internalized from innumerable depictions in Western Art. Instead of a romanticision of the mother figure, you see the real mother: proud, grumpy, exhausted, sexy.
